FAQ

Token authorities are the addresses that have the ability to control the token. There are three types of authorities: Freeze, Mint and Update. Each of them can be transferred or revoked.

Revoking each of Freeze, Mint or Update authorities prevents further actions like minting new tokens or modifying the token's metadata. This adds a layer of security and will increase trust from potential buyers.

To transfer a token authority, select an authority (Freeze, Mint, or Update), enter the new address in the corresponding input field, then click the "Update Authorities" button and confirm the transaction.

We support both the Original Token Program and the Token 2022 Program (Token Extension Program) in order to provide a smooth experience for all use cases. This includes compatibility with Metaplex metadata and Token 2022's Metadata extension

Yes, you can test the tool for free when switched to Solana Devnet. Keep in mind that you’ll need some Devnet tokens to perform authority updates during testing.
